Dharti Gramothan Evam Sahabhagi Gramin Vikas Samiti
Dharti Gramothan Evam Sahabhagi Gramin Vikas Samiti, is a right based organisation that works with the poorest and marginalised women, men, girls, boys and socially excluded people viz., Dalit, Tribals, Landless farmers, assetless farmers, BPL families, persons affected with HIV/AIDS and persons with disability among the rural communities of Chambal Valley of Madhya Pradesh, India. It seek to integrate these sections of the society by enhancing their capacities leading to social change; to associate people with long-term development process, resulting in enhancement in their self-respect, self-confidence, self-dependency and ability to take decisions in order to create equal opportunities for these sections of the society to facilitate their equal participation in development process and establishment of a society based on social values. It strongly advocates participatory community based processes and hence also engages with diversified stakeholders such as women, youth, adolescents, social activists, media representatives, panchayat representatives, Asha, Anganwadi workers, teachers, ANMs, and others service providers in the developmental sector. Some of its key thematic area of work is right to water and sanitation, right to education, HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis control, MNREGA, Nutrition and female foeticide.
